Best Ever Yeast Rolls

When Aunt Betty served these one evening when we were over for dinner, we could not get enough of them! We raved over them and begged her for the recipe. Luckily for us (and for you), she gladly shared it with us.

We have made it so many times since then, and they are especially great for company, since it makes 24 rolls! I guess you could half the recipe and only make 12, but they are so good for breakfast the next morning too, so why not?

Friday Pie-Day: Stars & Stripes Pie

Although this is one of the simplest pies we have made, it looked the most elaborate! We made it for the 4th of July this year – instead of a flag cake, we had a flag pie!

This is one of those pies that people think you worked forever on, and it really was whipped up in a few minutes. The filling was effortless to “make,” and it was fun and easy to decorate too!

Western Roundup for Toddlers

Howdy, y’all! A few weeks ago (I know, I’m just catching up), our toddlers enjoyed a 2-week wild west theme. We enjoyed creating several process art projects together, and I wanted to share them here!

Oat-rageous Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Peanut butter, chocolate chips, and oatmeal mingle deliciously together in these “oat-rageous” cookies! Aunt Betty gave us this recipe, so you know it has to be good.

Friday Pie Day: Watermelon Pie

Without a doubt, this is the weirdest pie we have ever made. And we have made a lot of pies – 43 to date!

I wouldn’t say it was bad; it was just extremely odd. It definitely tasted like watermelon… maybe it was the texture that threw us off.

Quick & Easy Biscuits

This is a tried and true biscuit recipe that was given to us several years ago by a friend. We’ve changed it slightly, but there wasn’t much room for improvement on these simple and versatile biscuits!

Friday Pie-Day: Razzleberry Pie

Raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries are a great combination, especially in a pie! This was our pie of the month in July 2011, and it was buenisimo!

Molasses Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Once upon a time when the urge struck us to make cookies, we were flipping through our cookbook and found this recipe. Oatmeal raisin cookies plus molasses? Yes! We even substituted a few things to make it even healthier! Still delicious though.

The only problem was it required a little guesswork to complete. Luckily for you (and us), we were up to the challenge! Further below you will find a detailed, easy-to-follow recipe to rival this handwritten gem.

Fireworks for Toddlers

Happy Fourth of July! I’ve been hearing the fireworks all day and look forward to more tonight. Until then, here are some fireworks crafts that our toddlers painted last week! These projects are both great ways to practice fine motor skills, talk about colors, and get in some sensory play.
